I never tried
Call me when this world becomes good,
Call me when you act the way you should,
Call me when the light escapes the dark,
Call me in the end when your soul departs.
The times keep on changing,
People keep on coming and going,
Some leave a mark, some don’t,
Some still treated ever so divine,
Some forgotten by the sands of time.
Let us try to leave our mark,
Before death comes with his scythe,
So we may be remembered,
By this entire mankind,
For our heart and our mind.
Don’t be that fool,
Trying to waste his time,
Giving into desire and temptation,
For he is weak at his foundation.
We are made of many a flaw,
A fact none of us can deny,
But who will remember the man,
That never really did try.
